What I do
- Don’t commit to things I don’t want to do unless it gets me closer to my goals

- Do what I have to do so that I can do what I want to do
- Ignore people who try to give advice but I would not trade places with
- Keep debts and expenses low even if it means I look like a broke person
- Avoid mainstream materialism and prioritize spiritual development
- Understand the economy and the short and long term debt cycles

- Live a minimalist life (reasons below)
If you want to live life out of the grind then you need to do what everyone else is NOT doing. This will not be easy as most people are trapped in their lifestyles by debt cycles, relationships and career pressures.
In a world consumed by excess and materialism, minimalism can help offer a path to more freedom. By consciously choosing to live with less, both physically and mentally, we can experience a sense of liberation. Here is why I have found embracing minimalism can unlock more freedom personally.
Liberation from Materialism: By decluttering our lives, we break free from the constant desire for material possessions. Living simply allows us to focus on what truly brings us joy and fulfillment, rather than being burdened by the need for more things. Liberated from the weight of excess things we don’t really need, we find freedom in simplicity.
Mental Clarity and Focus: Minimalism extends beyond physical possessions. By simplifying our commitments, setting boundaries, and prioritizing our time, we create space for clarity and meaningful pursuits. This intentional approach enhances mental clarity, reduces stress, and allows us to focus on what truly matters in our lives.
Financial Freedom: Living within our means and eliminating unnecessary expenses, minimalism aligns with financial freedom. By freeing ourselves from excessive consumerism, we can save money, reduce debt, and pursue a life based on our values and aspirations. Financial independence grants us the freedom to shape our lives according to our true desires.
Enhanced Productivity: Having a simpler lifestly helps us cut through distractions and concentrate on our goals. By eliminating the unnecessary, both physically and digitally, we can increase our focus and productivity. With a minimalist mindset, we approach tasks with intentionality, leading to greater efficiency and satisfaction in our endeavors.
Mindfulness and Well-being: Living simply encourages a deeper connection with the present moment. By simplifying our lives and reducing external noise, we can cultivate mindfulness and gratitude. Living in the here and now, appreciating simple pleasures, and nurturing meaningful relationships enhance our overall well-being and bring a sense of contentment.
Embracing a simpler life unlocks the freedom to live a life aligned with our values and aspirations. It liberates us from materialism, enhances mental clarity, offers financial independence, boosts productivity, and fosters mindfulness and well-being. Let us choose simplicity and embrace the true freedom that comes from living with less.
